Are There Any Bad Acai Berry Effects?

There are virtually no bad acai berry effects to speak of. The only one that might be considered as one is the high levels of theobromine which acts as a stimulant.

So if you have a stimulant intolerance you must stay away from large amounts of acai products.

However, this can be seen as one of the positive acai berry effects for people without a stimulant intolerance. Energy is something which we all need more of, especially if we have a hectic lifestyle.

The Acai Berry has now got a reputation as a superfood. It is a rich source of antioxidants, nutrients and vitamins just like most other fruits. But studies on acai berry effects have shown that the acai has a huge volume of these nutrients, much more than most other fruits.

An investigation into acai berry effects conducted recently has revealed that the acai berry comes with an ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity - the level of antioxidants the fruit includes) ranking of 610. The next top fruit - the previously revered cranberry - features only 92. In this regard, the acai berry can be considered as a type of super fruit.

I look forward to more scientific studies on the acai berry effects so we can fully understand what this little purple fruit has to offer us.
